Yesterday was the last day of term in Renfrewshire in Scotland – yup up there they are now on our Summer holidays for six whole weeks.  I however am not – I am probably identifying myself far too much by stating these details but as there is nothing of a negative in my blog I shall forgo the worry of it all.  Tomorrow (1st July) I will start my new job in a junior school in Peterborough – hense not being on my holidays and also the title take one as I will have another end of term to go! It seems all I have done over the past few months all I have done is talk about possibly moving, to moving.  Well tomorrow is the big day! I don’t think words can begin to talk about how I feel, it is all so terribly mixed.  All I know is that I am moving and leaving a job that I am more than comfortable in to a situation that is filled with uncertain situations.  Part of me is terribly excited at all of this – I never stay anywhere long I get what I like to term as ‘itchy feet’….More

Today was a normal day until after lunch when all I heard was a ‘doink’ thinking it was my children being silly I asked what it was. Cue to children going to the window when I heard shouts of “the window is smashed”. Yup someone had thrown a stone (?) and the window had totally shattered on the outside pane of the double glazed window. Luckily we have safety glass so although shattered, it did not fall to bits but stayed together. It was the children from the local high school who are on different lunches to ours. What a…More

So the house is almost packed up. One week and three days time I will be saying goodbye to living in Scotland. A very scary but exciting time lies ahead. I am unsure what the changes will bring but I am sure they will all be for the better. I believe things happen for a reason so all this is happening for a reason and in time that reason will become clear.

So it appears for now that on one hand the Rose Review has been cancelled but then on the other schools are continue doing what they do.  So once again schools are left in this land of limbo – we can’t not teach the little ones but if we do the ‘wrong’ thing and the big O comes in then we could be in trouble.
